Development of Material Processing Simulation in TPTC

Abstract

The presentation has two parts. One is about FDM application in material process. The other is about FEM application ( only several slides). The diffusion equation of carbon distribution is solved numerically by a Finite Difference Method (FDM), to Predict carbon diffusion profile during gas carburization process. In which, Carbon diffusion coefficient which is a function of carbon content and temperature. Experimental Validation also verifys the simulation results.
