The Midwest Numerical Analysis Day is an annual one-day conference on numerical analysis and computational mathematics. This year, the host will be the Department of Applied Mathematics, Illinois Institute of Technology. The main purpose of this meeting is to give those working in the fields of numerical analysis and computational mathematics the opportunity to discuss their work and to meet with their colleagues. Graduate students are welcome.
If you are interested in giving a contributed talk in the form of an oral presentation or in a poster session, submit a title and short abstract (indicating your preference of form) by April 2, 1999, either through the attached form, or to one of the organizers listed above.
No registration is required to simply attend.
Stuart builing is located on the North-West corner of the intersection of State and 31st Streets. Parking will be available in the IIT lot on the North-East corner of the intersection of State and 31st.
For those of you using public transportation: there is an El station of the CTA Green Line at 35th and State Street.

If you are staying overnight at the Grant Park Hotel (see below), then you should take Michigan Ave. South all the way to 31st St., and head West (left) there until you reach State St.
It is not recommended to stroll around the IIT neighborhood alone at night.
