Math BBQ
The SIAM Chapter & Math Club will be holding a barbeque on
Thursday, and you're all invited. Food should be start to be
available around 12:30, and it will continue until 2pm or so. We'll
be just south of the tennis courts (& north of MTCC).

Career Workshop( Joint seminar with workshop "Get ready to step onto the street" )
Speaker: Dr. Yuhua Yu, DRW Trading Group, Chicago
Dr. Yuhua Yu will give an insight into the various aspects of being in the quantitative research and analysis area. Tea and Snacks will be provided after the event jointly with Math Tea(3:30 PM at Room 129 in E1). You are all welcome to be there on Thursday.

Undergraduate Students at IIT are able to practice and compete in an intra-campus mathematics competition, and win the competition, by being the first undergraduate student to correctly solve the Weekly Problem. For more details, click here.

Kick off of this semster and induction of SIAM Student Chapter. Snacks and drinks will be provided, please feel free to come and go as you like, bring friends, even bring you own food and snacks. A great opportunity to hang out and talk to new friends in the department.
Election result of the first Committee members
On February, 8, we held the first election of IIT SIAM Student Chapter, Ben Niu, Yizhi Zhang, Jiarui Yang, Aparna Poddar were selected as the first committee. They were selected from the current full-time PhD students, master students and MMF students.
